Morrissey has previously appeared in The Night Manager, Line of Duty, and even lent his vocal talents to Bob the Builder as the titular handyman. MASTERPIECE fans may know him from Grantchester, as Harding Redmond in the second season of the Mystery! series.

Centered on London detectives Cassie Stuart and Sunny Khan (Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar), the PBS Masterpiece Mystery! import follows the dedicated partners as they take on one cold-case homicide per season.

Speaking about her character's return in season 4, Nicola said: "When we left Cassie at the end of the last series she felt it necessary to stop, she definitely had what would have been loosely termed 'a breakdown' and we were left wondering if she was going to come back.

For season four, shooting took place in Greenwich and Tower Hamlets to the east but focused particularly on the West London area of Southall.
